FlyArystan Supported Cardiac Surgery Training in Aktau In the Framework of Partnership with Heart Center Foundation, DKnews.kz reports.
Kazakhstan’s low-cost airline FlyArystan continues its charitable partnership with the public foundation Heart Center Foundation by providing free air travel for specialists from the UMC (University Medical Center) Heart Center. This initiative aims to improve the accessibility and quality of healthcare services and enhance the professional development of doctors in the regions of Kazakhstan.
The latest stage of the collaboration took place on May 21-22 in the Mangystau Region, where a "Patient School" on the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects was held. The initiative was implemented by Heart Center Foundation with the participation of specialists from the UMC Heart Center. Over the course of two days in Aktau, educational sessions for doctors, informational meetings with parents, and individual patient consultations were conducted. Particular focus was given to the importance of early diagnosis, timely referral of children to specialized centers, and a multidisciplinary approach to cardiac surgery.
Additionally, on May 22, a press briefing was held at the Mangystau Regional Communications Service, where pediatric cardiologist Aikerim Zhanatkyzy and pediatric cardiac surgery resident Aleksey Bondarev from the UMC Heart Center spoke to the media about congenital heart defects in children, modern approaches to their diagnosis and treatment, and the capabilities of contemporary medicine in Kazakhstan.
The partnership between FlyArystan and Heart Center Foundation began in the fall of 2024. Last year, with the support of the airline, outreach events were carried out in Uralsk, Kostanay, and Kyzylorda. These included consultations, surgical procedures, and educational sessions for local medical professionals. FlyArystan also partnered with the charity run Jüregımnıñ Jeñımpazy, aimed at raising awareness about organ transplantation and supporting patients awaiting transplants.
The collaboration with Heart Center Foundation reflects FlyArystan’s commitment to contributing to the sustainable development of Kazakhstan’s social sector and demonstrates its dedication to the principles of corporate social responsibility. The airline plans to continue its involvement in initiatives that support healthcare development and community well-being across the country’s regions.
