Regions of Kazakhstan Expands Ties with Austria’s Federal States, DKnews.kz reports.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Austria Mukhtar Tileuberdi made a working visit to the federal state of Carinthia – one of the most economically developed regions of Austria.
The Ambassador Tileuberdi held talks with the Head of the Federal Land Peter Kaiser, during which they discussed the status and prospects of bilateral co-operation. Particular attention was paid to the development of partnerships between the regions of Kazakhstan and Austria. In particular, the parties agreed to make joint efforts to implement the Protocol of Intentions signed in 2016 between the region of South Kazakhstan and the Federal State of Carinthia.
At the meeting with the Vice President of the Economic Chamber of Carinthia Otmar Petschnig promising areas of co-operation, including agriculture, energy, engineering, industry and tourism were identified. The Austrian side highly commended the measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan in the field of international trade and on creating a favourable investment climate in the country.
The Ambassador Tileuberdi also held separate meetings with the local business community and visited the enterprises of Glaunach GmbH, a company specialising in the production of industrial silencers, and Tribotecc GmbH, a company engaged in the production of synthetic metal sulphides for machine building. Business people of Carinthia showed interest in Kazakh investment projects and expressed interest in further strengthening of business contacts with Kazakhstan.
