Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier FlyArystan announces the expansion of its fleet with the arrival of its 27th aircraft – a modern and environmentally friendly Airbus A320neo.

The aircraft will begin operating flights in June 2025, DKnews.kz reports.

The new aircraft is configured to accommodate 188 passengers and has been named Atlas – after the bright star in the Pleiades cluster, symbolizing reliability, strength, and the pursuit of great heights. The Pleiades, including Atlas, have long served as important reference points in astronomy and navigation. Additionally, the name “Atlas” is a universal symbol of maps and travel, reflecting FlyArystan’s mission to connect cities, countries, and people by charting new routes across Kazakhstan and beyond.

"Adding a new aircraft to our fleet is an important step in FlyArystan’s sustainable growth strategy. One of our key goals is to make air travel even more affordable and convenient for passengers. This is especially relevant ahead of the summer season, when demand for air travel increases significantly. In summer 2025, FlyArystan will increase the number of domestic flights and relaunch seasonal routes within Kazakhstan, strengthening regional connectivity. At the same time, we will continue the gradual expansion of our international route network by opening new destinations for travel" Richard Ledger, President of FlyArystan JSC

This summer, FlyArystan will launch a number of new international and charter routes. New destinations include:

  • Karaganda – Istanbul
  • Almaty – Yining
  • Astana – Gazipasa
  • Almaty – Tamchy (Issyk-Kul)
  • Atyrau – Tashkent

FlyArystan will also continue its well-established routes from Kazakhstan’s capital to Urumqi, Bishkek, Tashkent, and Baku. Passengers from Aktau will still be able to fly to Istanbul and Baku.

Additionally, FlyArystan will increase flight frequency to Kutaisi, Georgia from Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktau, and Shymkent this summer. The airline has also resumed its seasonal charter program to Antalya, operating flights from eight cities across Kazakhstan between May and September.

As a reminder, in 2024, more than 4.2 million passengers traveled with FlyArystan, with one in five flying at a fare of 15,000 tenge or less.
