On June 1, the grand EuroFest 2025 festival took place with great success in the very heart of Astana — a vibrant event symbolizing unity and peace, DKnews.kz reports.
EuroFest 2025 became an important platform for strengthening relations between the European Union and Kazakhstan, promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding. The funds raised by the embassies of EU member states and their partners were directed towards supporting local charitable organizations, highlighting the true strength of the festival — caring for people and mutual support.
“EuroFest 2025 is an opportunity to introduce the residents and guests of Astana to the culture and beauty of European countries. Usually, cooperation between the European Union and Kazakhstan involves complex topics, but today we want to show how wonderful the EU and its values are. Projects funded by the EU in areas such as the green agenda, education, and media are also showcased here” Aleška Simkić, EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan
The festival, timed to coincide with Europe Day and International Children’s Day, offered the city’s residents a rich cultural program: the main stage featured a special guest from Spain — the outstanding flamenco and Spanish dancer Carlos Romero! Guests of EuroFest 2025 enjoyed live performances by musical competition winners from France and Romania, traditional dances by Polish and German folk ensembles, and visited an art exhibition brought from Croatia.
Residents of the capital took part in the game “Sayakhat”, traveling not only through the stands of the EU member states and tasting European delicacies but also learning about EU-funded projects — discovering Europe through practical initiatives and cooperation and understanding the opportunities and benefits these projects bring to citizens and local communities. Participants filled their “passports” with stars for their activity and received memorable prizes.
EuroFest 2025 confirmed its role as a significant cultural and charitable event, uniting the European Union and Kazakhstan through creativity, music, art, and mutual support.
