Over 1,000 devices sold during the first weekend, DKnews.kz reports.

The HONOR 400 series made a successful debut in Kazakhstan: over 1,000 smartphones were sold within the first weekend alone. The new release outperformed its competitors in the mid-range segment and solidified HONOR’s position as the No. 1 Chinese smartphone brand officially represented in the country.

When a Smartphone Captures the Moment

The flagship HONOR 400 is equipped with a 200MP sensor and an advanced AI Super Zoom system, which allows users to zoom in up to 30x without losing image quality. At the launch event, guests saw firsthand how the phone captures intricate architectural details and delivers dynamic portrait shots on the move — thanks to AI Portrait Snap.

The signature Harcourt Mode and AI Film Simulation technology turn everyday scenes into frames with cinematic mood and depth.

A Smart Editor Built In

Particular interest was drawn to the smartphone’s built-in AI editor, capable of performing complex post-processing directly on the device. Features include object removal, frame extension, and automatic photo animation.

The Moving Photo Collage function allows several “live” frames to be merged into a dynamic collage — a highly useful tool for content creators.

More Than Just an Interface

The entire HONOR 400 series runs on the new MagicOS 9.0, which integrates cutting-edge AI features: a smart recorder with automatic summaries, deepfake protection during video calls, and full Google Gemini integration for voice control and search.

A Glimpse of Almaty Through the Lens of an Astana Photographer

The Astana launch took on an artistic flair thanks to the involvement of well-known Kazakh photographer Darkhan Zhagyparov. For the event, he created a visual project capturing the essence of Almaty — a city where tradition and modern life intersect — all through the lens of the HONOR 400.

Darkhan avoided tourist clichés and instead focused on spontaneous, authentic moments: street musicians, the golden sun setting between balconies, and neon reflections on wet pavement.

According to him, the HONOR 400 has opened new horizons for mobile photography, especially with its intelligent image processing: auto exposure, natural bokeh in portrait mode, and in-device creation of short video clips.

“The HONOR 400 is more than just a camera. It’s a way to capture emotion, atmosphere, and movement. In situations where speed and accuracy matter, it’s become my go-to tool,”
— said Darkhan Zhagyparov.

This approach reflects HONOR’s philosophy: technology isn't just a tool — it's a co-author of creativity.

A New Chapter for HONOR in Kazakhstan
