Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier FlyArystan has introduced an update to its mobile application, offering greater convenience and expanded self-service options, DKNews.kz reports.
The update includes a number of improvements that make preparing for a flight simpler, faster, and more intuitive. Key new features include:
Updated Online Check-in
Flight and passenger selection are now combined on a single page. Moreover, infants are now automatically linked to the parent during the check-in process.
Adding an Infant to an Existing Booking
A new option, “Add Infant,” has been introduced in the “My Trips” section. For example, if a passenger was unaware of the rules or did not add an infant at the time of booking, they can now independently add their child under two years old to an existing booking without contacting the call center.
This feature is available only before completing online check-in. If check-in has already been completed, it can be canceled, the infant added to the booking, and check-in repeated for all passengers, including the child.
The air company reminds passengers that, in accordance with flight safety requirements, a separate ticket must be issued for each infant, even if they do not occupy a seat. This service is free of charge and significantly simplifies travel preparation for families with children.
Boarding Pass Management
After completing online check-in in the mobile app, passengers can download their boarding pass in various ways: save it to the device’s gallery or add it to Apple Wallet (for iOS users). In addition, the boarding pass is automatically stored in the app and, while active, will always be available in the “Services” section – even without logging in. Printing the boarding pass is not required: the electronic version on the phone is sufficient.
Promo Code Application During Booking
A promo code entry option has been added to the pre-payment page, allowing passengers to easily take advantage of special offers directly in the app. The function supports flexible validation rules, including passenger count and age restrictions, in line with the terms of specific campaigns.
FlyArystan passengers can now use promo codes not only on the air company’s website but also in the mobile app. For example, they can access a 30% discount on airfare to participate in the Almaty Marathon (September 28, 2025) and Turkistan Marathon (October 26). Promo codes are provided by the marathon organizers upon registration, and travel must be scheduled within two days before and after the race.
Along with new features, the latest update also places a strong focus on improving overall app performance.
