As a part of World Cleanup Day and #EUBeachCleanup campaign, on September 20, 2025, the EU Delegation in Kazakhstan together with the Embassy of Estonia in Astana cordially invite you to join a clean-up effort along the Essil Riverbank in Astana, DKNews.kz reports.
Supported by the Akimat of Astana, this event unites residents, ambassadors and diplomats, international organizations’ representatives, and students to clean the Essil Riverbank and support the national “Taza Kazakhstan” initiative.

The EU Delegation, in partnership with the Embassy of Estonia, proudly launches the impactful 3-Step Plastic-Free Challenge in Astana, aimed at fostering a cleaner and healthier future through the reduction of plastic waste. Ten winners will be randomly selected and announced on 18 September via the official @euinkazakhstan and @estemb.astana Instagram channels, each receiving special gifts. Additionally, on 20 September in Astana, all participants of the EU Beach Cleanup 2025 who present their challenge post will receive a gift.
We also invite you to take part in a special campaign “Waste Less for the Dress”, organized together with Likekomek! On this day, the first 50 participants who bring a bag of unused clean clothes to the Textile Collection Box will be able to exchange them for branded merch.
