The Omani Side Expressed Interest in Kazakhstan’s Banking Sector and Investment Opportunities, DKNews.kz reports.
Aidarbek Tumatov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Oman met with Aziz Al Jahdhami, the Chief International Banking Relations Officer of “Sohar International” Bank.
The parties discussed in detail the most promising areas of investment, trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman. In particular, the Omani side expressed interest in the work of the banking sector and the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan.
Ambassador Tumatov informed about the current state of the banking sector, the main development trends, assets and activities of the largest actors in the financial market of Kazakhstan. He pointed out that the domestic banking sector is experiencing steady growth, as reflected in the rise in assets and net profit. The financial market is actively developing due to the implementation of the latest digital technologies and the new banking products.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to organize a visit of the Sohar International Bank delegation to Kazakhstan soon to discuss the issues of cooperation with financial organizations and relevant government bodies.
