Kazakhstan and the Muslim Council of Elders discussed new cooperation projects

Cooperation Issues Discussed with the Muslim Council of Elders in Abu Dhabi, DKNews.kz reports.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Rauan Zhumabek met with the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Mohamed Abdelsalam.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on upcoming joint initiatives.

Ambassador Zhumabek expressed gratitude to Secretary-General Abdelsalam for his active and consistent participation in the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

In turn, the Secretary-General highlighted the importance of Kazakhstan’s initiatives aimed at promoting interreligious and intercultural dialogue. He also noted that the ideas raised at the recent Congress in Astana align with the principles of the Muslim Council of Elders and expressed readiness to work jointly with Kazakhstan in advancing the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to further expand their cooperation.
