Kazakhstan Strengthens Strategic Partnership with Pakistan Through Academic and Business Initiatives

Kazakhstan and Pakistan Open New Horizons of Educational and Trade-Economic Partnership, DKNews.kz reports.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin paid a working visit to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, during which he visited the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) and held meetings with the university’s leadership, faculty members, and students.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of cooperation and noted with satisfaction the growing ties between GIKI and Kazakhstani universities such as Narxoz University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Nazarbayev University, and Astana IT University, as well as upcoming joint plans and activities. Addressing the students, the Ambassador spoke about the current agenda of Kazakh-Pakistani cooperation, upcoming visits, and projects, including in the field of education.

On the same day, the Ambassador held talks with the leadership and members of the Peshawar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He briefed them on the past and planned events involving the business communities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan, paying special attention to the development of transport and logistics corridors and informing them about the work carried out by the transport authorities of the two countries.

The Ambassador invited entrepreneurs from the province to visit Kazakhstan and encouraged them to actively participate in upcoming business forums aimed at further expanding and diversifying trade and investment cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
