Oracle will support Kazakhstan in developing a pilot AI infrastructure

The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Oracle have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote collaboration in the areas of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and cloud technologies, DKNews.kz reports.

The signing ceremony took place in Washington during the C5+1 format business conference, which brings together representatives of the United States and Central Asian countries to enhance regional cooperation and support economic and technological development.

Under the Memorandum, the parties intend to cooperate through Oracle supporting   the Ministry in its assessment of a deployment of Oracle’s solutions as a pilot AI infrastructure in Kazakhstan and related testing, in  exploring  the potential for a  phased development of cloud data centers, and in implementing pilot projects in applied artificial intelligence. The cooperation may also include Oracle's advisory in capacity-building initiatives such as specialized training and certification programs, joint research projects, and the establishment of an Oracle Competence Center in Kazakhstan. The parties plan to maintain a dialogue on regulatory and ethical aspects of AI development.
