Freedom Holding Corp. and the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan today announced a joint initiative aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan’s and Central Asia’s leadership in artificial intelligence through the development of a sovereign NVIDIA exascale AI infrastructure and talent development programs, DKNews.kz reports.
This collaborative initiative envisions a phased approach, including the creation of the Kazakhstan Sovereign Artificial Intelligence Center, managed by Freedom Holding Corp. and powered by NVIDIA AI infrastructure. The Ministry will facilitate favorable conditions for hosting and operating large-scale AI infrastructure and will also support initiatives such as the establishment of an AI Academy and a research laboratory to train engineers and data analysts.
The proposed $2 billion project will be implemented on a site in Kazakhstan with an available capacity of 100 MW. Freedom Holding Corp. intends to serve as the primary partner in financing and implementation.
The collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing the AI ecosystem, driving innovation, and cultivating future talent to support the rapidly growing digital economy in Kazakhstan and across Central Asia.
