Cultural Evening of Kazakh Poetry «The Legacy of Abai» Held in Ulaanbaatar, DKNews.kz reports.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Mongolia hosted a cultural evening dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great poet, thinker and composer Abai Kunanbayuly. The event brought together representatives of the Kazakh diaspora and friends of Kazakhstan who share a deep interest in the rich cultural heritage of our country.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Almas Seitakynov delivered welcoming remarks to the participants and guests. In his address, the Kazakh diplomat emphasized the outstanding role of Abai’s creative and philosophical legacy in shaping national identity, advancing culture and the education system, as well as in strengthening the spiritual and moral values of the Kazakh people.
As part of the cultural evening, an intellectual quiz was organized to test and deepen participants’ knowledge of Abai’s works, his views and ideas. In addition, artistic readings of the great thinker’s works were held, enabling the audience to rediscover the depth of his poetry, the humanistic essence of his philosophy, and the enduring relevance of his legacy in the modern world.
This cultural evening became a significant event for the Kazakh diaspora in Mongolia. It contributed to strengthening the ties of compatriots with their historical Homeland, supported the preservation and promotion of national traditions and spiritual heritage abroad, and underlined the importance of cultural dialogue as an integral component of the bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
