SCAT Airlines Presents New Direct Prague–Sanya Route in Prague, DKNews.kz reports.

A seminar dedicated to the launch of the new direct Prague-Sanya flight, to be operated by the Kazakhstani airline SCAT Airlines, was held in the Czech capital.

The event, organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Czech Republic, brought together representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Czech Republic, leading Czech tour operators, as well as members of the business community and the media.

In his opening remarks, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic, Bakyt Dyussenbayev, underlined that the launch of the Prague-Sanya route marks an important continuation of efforts to expand the geography of air connectivity and to deepen practical cooperation between Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, and China. He noted that the new route reflects Kazakhstan’s growing role as a transport and logistics hub connecting Europe and Asia, while opening new prospects for tourism and business activity.

The Ambassador also recalled that over the past year, air connectivity between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic has shown steady growth, reflected in the increased frequency of flights on the Astana-Prague route. In this regard, the launch of the Prague-Sanya connection is a logical and timely step that enhances the potential for mutual travel and cooperation. It additionally brings clear economic and logistical benefits, including the development of tourism, strengthened business contacts, and expanded opportunities for trilateral engagement.

Representatives of SCAT Airlines presented details on the schedule, key features of the new route, and the company’s plans for further expansion of its international flight network.

The new route, scheduled to begin operations on 21 December 2025 with an initial frequency of once per week, will facilitate travel for Czech tourists to China and increase the attractiveness of Central Europe for passengers and partners from the Asia-Pacific region.

The event once again underscored Kazakhstan’s growing role as a bridge between Europe and Asia.
