Almaty has joined the global “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign by illuminating its key landmarks in warm orange light, DKNews.kz reports.

In recent days, the Koktobe TV Tower, Halyk Bank, the First President’s Park, LED screens, and several other city landmarks have been glowing in soft orange hues.

The color orange symbolizes warmth, hope, and solidarity. It serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting the rights of every individual and maintaining zero tolerance toward any form of violence.

This visual gesture is both a reminder of a pressing social issue and a sign of solidarity with those who are facing difficult circumstances.
