As part of the celebration of Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Presidential Center of the DPA RK, together with the Methodological Center of the Astana City Akimat, held an open city-wide essay contest "Independence is the most valuable thing!" among young teachers from general education institutions in the capital, DKNews.kz reports.
The contest aimed to promote the historical heritage and values of Kazakhstan's independence, enhance teachers' creative potential, foster civic responsibility and patriotism, and increase interest in national culture and history.

Participants submitted essays expressing their personal understanding of the significance of Kazakhstan's independence, its role in shaping the state's and citizens' fates, and their vision for the country's future.

A competition committee evaluated the entries according to depth and originality, coherence of presentation, literacy and style, creativity, and relevance to the contest theme. 50 people took part in the competition.

The winners were selected through an open vote conducted by the competition committee:
- 1st place – Saqtaqan Bolat (School-Gymnasium No. 80 named after S. Seifullin)
- 2nd place – Kopzhasarova Kamila (Neotech Digital School)
- 3rd place – Naqimqyzy Toqzhan (School-Lyceum No. 53 named after B. Momyshuly).

The winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas and commemorative prizes. The best essays were recognized for their high level of civic engagement, profound understanding of historical values, and creative approach to their topic.

The organizers express their gratitude to all participants for their active civic engagement, professionalism, and contributions to instilling patriotic values in the younger generation.
