Several companies from the Turkish province of Mersin are preparing to visit Kazakhstan to study the country’s investment potential and look at possible areas of cooperation, DKNews.kz reports.
The plan emerged following meetings held during the visit of Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Erkebulan Sapiyev, to the province of Mersin, where he met with the heads of major local industrial enterprises.

What was discussed
The talks focused on expanding trade and economic ties and deepening investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye.
Particular attention was paid to the following areas:
- development of the food industry
- metal processing projects
- production of hygiene products
- creation of joint ventures
The parties also discussed opportunities for Turkish businesses to participate in new investment projects in Kazakhstan.

As a result of the meetings, the parties agreed to continue their cooperation and move to a more practical stage.
