The updated Haval H6 has become available in Kazakhstan – this was announced by the brand’s official distributor within Astana Motors. The model, which has long remained one of the most popular family crossovers in China, is now much closer to Kazakhstani buyers – and not only thanks to its design and technology, DKNews.kz reports.

Most importantly, the vehicle is now locally assembled at the Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan plant, and the multimedia system features a Kazakh-language menu. This is a rare case where localization is not just a formality, but a real step toward the market.

Design and interior: quieter, cozier, more solid

The refreshed H6 received an updated exterior and a reworked interior.

Key highlights:

  • elegant trapezoidal grille
  • integrated front lighting cluster with expressive DRLs
  • new rear lights
  • 19-inch wheels that add a sporty touch

The cabin now feels noticeably better: improved sound insulation, higher-quality materials, and a more relaxed and comfortable seating position.

Bigger dimensions – more space inside

The Kazakh market gets the five-seat version.

Dimensions:

  • length - 4,703 mm (plus 50 mm)
  • width - 1,886 mm
  • height - 1,730 mm
  • wheelbase - 2,738 mm

The trunk now holds 560 liters, which is noticeable both in daily driving and long trips - there is genuinely more space.

Local production - adapted to our climate and roads

Local assembly has allowed the vehicle to be adapted to regional conditions:

  • temperature fluctuations
  • fuel quality
  • real-world driving scenarios

This matters especially for those who live outside major cities and drive a lot.

Engines and transmission: more powerful and more efficient

The Haval H6 is offered with two turbocharged engines:

  • 1.5T - 184 hp
  • 2.0T - 238 hp

Both engines have become more dynamic while retaining strong low-end torque.

The transmission is intelligent, with six driving modes:

  • normal
  • eco
  • sport
  • snow
  • sand
  • off-road

It uses GWM’s proprietary DCT technology, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The all-wheel-drive system is supplied by Borg-Warner and uses a sixth-generation Haldex clutch.

Technology: large screen and Kazakh interface

One of the most notable upgrades is the multimedia system with a larger 14.6-inch display and Kazakh language support.

Eduard Kuznetsov, CEO of Haval Motor Kazakhstan, notes:

“We are proud that the model is now produced in Almaty. One of the key improvements is language localization. The Kazakh-language menu makes the system more intuitive and convenient.”

Safety: cameras, assistants, smart functions

The Haval H6 now features a full set of electronic driver aids.

  • 360-degree surround-view camera
  • “transparent hood” mode that lets you see what is happening under the car
  • second-level ADAS suite with more than 20 driver-assistance functions

The system helps:

  • keep the car centered in the lane
  • maintain distance
  • monitor blind spots
  • make parking easier

Plus, there is a premium audio system with nine speakers.
