Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, held a meeting with Haroon ur Rashid, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan, as well as members of the organization. The talks were held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere, DKNews.kz reports.
What they discussed
During the meeting, the Ambassador spoke about Kazakhstan’s efforts to expand bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to:
- strengthening interaction in the legal field
- promoting exchanges between lawyers of both countries
- studying and comparing the legal systems of Kazakhstan and Pakistan
The aim is not only formal cooperation, but also a practical professional dialogue.

Support from the Pakistani side
Haroon ur Rashid welcomed the proposals of the Kazakh side and emphasized the need to build systematic ties between the legal communities of both countries.
In his view, such cooperation can help:
- strengthen legal institutions
- improve professional standards of lawyers
- develop international partnerships in the field of law
What was agreed
Following the talks, both sides agreed to:
- arrange mutual delegation visits in 2026
- prepare documents for future signing
In this way, cooperation is moving to a more structured and institutional level.
