As the iconic series Stranger Things reaches its long-awaited finale, Samsung Electronics and Netflix are offering fans a special way to celebrate the end of a cultural phenomenon that has shaped global pop culture for nearly a decade, DKNews.kz reports.
Starting January 12, Samsung Galaxy users in 186 countries, including Kazakhstan, can download an exclusive Stranger Things theme and wallpapers via the Galaxy Store. The content is available free of charge for a limited time to users who download or launch the Netflix app.
A global cultural phenomenon
Since its debut in 2016, Stranger Things has played a defining role in Netflix’s rise as a global entertainment powerhouse. The series quickly became a worldwide phenomenon, sparking conversations across generations and influencing fashion, music, and visual culture.
The final season only strengthened that legacy. After the release of the first part of Season 5 on November 27, 2025, the show:
- ranked No. 1 in 91 countries,
- amassed 59.6 million views in its first five days,
- became Netflix’s most successful English-language series to date,
- and made history as the first Netflix series with all five seasons simultaneously ranked in the global Top 10, holding that position for five consecutive weeks.

All episodes of the final season are now available worldwide exclusively on Netflix.
Bringing Hawkins and the Upside Down to Galaxy devices
Samsung’s exclusive content collection draws inspiration from the fifth season of the series and is available from January 12 through February 22. The package includes:
- a specially designed Galaxy theme,
- five wallpapers featuring characters and iconic locations,
- visuals inspired by Hawkins and the Upside Down,
- and a dark, atmospheric aesthetic reflecting the tone of the final season.
The design allows fans to carry elements of the Stranger Things universe into their everyday digital experience.

A long-standing partnership built on storytelling
Samsung and Netflix have collaborated for years, delivering immersive, high-quality content inspired by some of the world’s most popular series. The new release follows recent projects such as exclusive Galaxy themes for the global hit KPop Demon Hunters, and earlier collaborations celebrating the launch of Stranger Things Season 4.
This latest initiative continues the companies’ shared focus on visual storytelling and fan engagement beyond the screen.
