Kazakhstan expands economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov held a meeting with Ahmed Al-Dakhil, Co-Chair of the Kazakhstan–Saudi Arabia Business Council, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation, DKNews.kz reports.

During the talks, both sides reviewed the current state of economic relations and exchanged views on the prospects for expanding cooperation in priority sectors. Particular attention was paid to the role of business-to-business interaction as a driver of sustainable economic growth between the two countries.

Business Council as a key platform

Ambassador Menilbekov emphasized the importance of actively using the Business Council as a central platform for expanding investment cooperation, developing direct business contacts, and promoting joint projects. According to him, closer interaction between entrepreneurs and investors from Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia can significantly accelerate the implementation of mutually beneficial initiatives.

Strong interest from the Saudi side

For his part, Ahmed Al-Dakhil highlighted the significant potential for cooperation between the two states and confirmed the Saudi side’s strong interest in deepening a mutually beneficial partnership. He noted that Kazakhstan is seen as a promising partner, particularly in the context of regional connectivity, investment opportunities, and long-term economic cooperation.

Joint events and business delegations

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify the activities of the Business Council. Planned steps include organizing joint business events, forums, and reciprocal visits by business delegations, aimed at identifying concrete projects and strengthening direct ties between the private sectors of both countries.

Both sides expressed confidence that these efforts will give new momentum to Kazakhstan–Saudi Arabia economic relations and contribute to the development of long-term, results-oriented partnerships.
