On January 15, 2026, the fifth meeting of the Working Group on Parliamentary Reform will be held under the chairmanship of the State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Karin, DKNews.kz reports.
During the meeting, it is planned to discuss issues related to the powers of Parliament in the field of personnel decisions.
It should be recalled that at previous meetings of the Working Group, a wide range of relevant topics were considered, including the name and powers of the future unicameral Parliament, qualification requirements for deputies, the procedure for their election, quota issues, as well as key aspects of the legislative function of the new unicameral legislature.
