Kazakhstan and Serbia are looking to deepen their partnership in both economic and cultural spheres. A meeting held in Belgrade between the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Serbia, Madi Atamkulov, and the Executive Director of the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), as well as the founder of Serbia’s ethnocultural organization Etno Mreža, Violeta Jovanović, became another step in strengthening bilateral ties, DKNews.kz reports.
The discussion focused on expanding business cooperation and identifying new areas for joint initiatives between the two countries.
During the meeting, Violeta Jovanović presented the work of NALED, one of Serbia’s leading public-private associations. The organization plays an important role in improving the business environment, supporting sustainable economic growth, and creating favorable conditions for foreign investors. NALED actively cooperates with both government institutions and the private sector, positioning itself as a key platform for economic dialogue in Serbia.
Ambassador Madi Atamkulov подчеркнул the importance of strengthening business relations between Kazakhstan and Serbia. He noted that both countries have significant untapped potential for mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and innovation. According to the Ambassador, closer interaction between business communities could open new opportunities for joint projects and long-term partnerships.
Cultural cooperation was also an important part of the conversation. Violeta Jovanović introduced the mission of Etno Mreža, an organization dedicated to promoting authentic products that reflect Serbia’s national traditions and cultural identity. The initiative brings together artisans and craftsmen from across the country, helping preserve traditional crafts while integrating them into modern markets.
The parties discussed opportunities for exchanging experience between Serbia and Kazakhstan, developing cultural cooperation, and supporting projects aimed at preserving cultural heritage. Such initiatives, participants noted, can strengthen people-to-people ties and contribute to the development of creative industries, which are increasingly becoming an important part of national economies.
Ambassador Atamkulov expressed Kazakhstan’s interest in expanding cooperation with Serbia not only in economic, but also in cultural fields. He emphasized Kazakhstan’s readiness to jointly implement projects focused on improving the business climate, supporting investment activity, and strengthening bilateral relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to continue dialogue and explore concrete forms of cooperation within future joint initiatives, signaling a shared intention to give new momentum to Kazakhstan-Serbia relations.
