A meeting between Kazakhstan and Brazil’s senior diplomats took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, highlighting the growing momentum in bilateral relations between the two countries, DKNews.kz reports.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov met with Brazil’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Susan Kleebank. The talks were also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to Kazakhstan Marcelo Biato, underscoring the mutual interest in deepening cooperation.
The discussions focused on the implementation of agreements reached during the 7th Kazakhstan-Brazil Political Consultations held on 8 December 2025 in Astana. These agreements aim to strengthen bilateral political dialogue, expand trade and economic ties, deepen sectoral cooperation, and enhance coordination within regional and multilateral frameworks.
A significant part of the meeting was devoted to preparations for upcoming international events where both countries plan to engage closely. In particular, attention was given to the Regional Ecological Summit scheduled for April 2026 in Astana and the International Conference on the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, which will take place in March 2026 in Campo Grande.
The diplomats emphasized the importance of these platforms for advancing cooperation in environmental protection, sustainable development, and biodiversity conservation, areas of growing global relevance.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the organization of bilateral visits at high and highest levels. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Kazakhstan-Brazil relations and expanding cooperation across a broad range of areas.
The meeting concluded in a constructive atmosphere, reflecting the shared intention of Kazakhstan and Brazil to build a long-term, forward-looking partnership and to play a more active role together on the international stage.
