The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Talgat Shaldanbay, met with Professor Dr. Mustafa Ozturk, Coordinator of the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Amman, in a meeting that highlighted the growing cultural dialogue between the Turkic world and Jordan, DKNews.kz reports.
The meeting was held at the initiative of the Turkish Cultural Center at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Jordan. During the talks, Professor Dr. Mustafa Ozturk presented Ambassador Shaldanbay with a certificate of gratitude on behalf of the Center, recognizing the Embassy’s active participation in the cultural and educational event “Turkic Language Family Day,” which took place on December 13, 2025, in Amman.

Representatives of the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center warmly praised the Embassy’s contribution to the event. Special appreciation was expressed for the musical performance on the traditional Kazakh instrument, the dombra, prepared by Embassy staff. According to the organizers, the live performance became one of the most memorable moments of the program and attracted strong interest from the audience.
The Center also highlighted the presentation of a Kazakh yurt, the display of national costumes, and the introduction of traditional Kazakh cuisine. These elements, they noted, vividly showcased the richness and uniqueness of Kazakh culture and allowed the Jordanian public to experience the diversity of the Turkic world firsthand.
In response, Ambassador Talgat Shaldanbay thanked Professor Dr. Mustafa Ozturk and the staff of the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center for the invitation and the high-quality organization of the event. He emphasized that such cultural initiatives play an important role in strengthening humanitarian and cultural ties between the Turkic peoples and Jordan.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on future cooperation. Both sides agreed to continue close dialogue and work together on joint cultural and educational projects aimed at introducing the Jordanian public to the heritage and traditions of the Turkic peoples.
