A ceremony highlighting the strong legal and institutional partnership between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan was held in Baku. Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Alim Bayel presented the departmental medal of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan “For Contribution to the Development of International Cooperation” to Adil Abilov, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chair of the Committee of Experts on the Implementation of European Conventions on Cooperation in Criminal Matters, DKNews.kz reports.
The decision to award the medal was made by Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Berik Assylov, in recognition of Adil Abilov’s consultative assistance and constructive support in strengthening international legal cooperation.
“Law and Order” as a shared priority
The award ceremony took place at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku. In his remarks, Ambassador Alim Bayel emphasized the high level of Kazakhstan–Azerbaijan cooperation, noting that bilateral relations are built not only on political dialogue, but also on practical interaction between institutions.
The diplomat highlighted the importance attached by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the principle of “Law and Order”, underlining that close cooperation between the law enforcement and justice authorities of the two countries plays a key role in ensuring legal stability and mutual trust.
Mutual respect and professional dialogue
Accepting the award, Adil Abilov expressed his gratitude to Kazakhstan for the honor and spoke about the current state of bilateral cooperation. He noted that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in the legal sphere continues to develop in a constructive and systematic manner, based on professionalism, mutual respect and the exchange of experience.
According to Abilov, interaction within the framework of European legal instruments and international conventions creates a solid foundation for effective cooperation and the promotion of shared standards in criminal justice.

The awarding of the medal was not only a recognition of individual contribution, but also a reflection of the broader strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
