Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Sihasak Phuangketkeow, focusing on the current state and future trajectory of bilateral relations, DKNews.kz reports.
During the call, the foreign ministers welcomed the steady and positive development of Kazakhstan-Thailand ties, noting that cooperation between the two countries continues to gain momentum across a wide range of areas. According to the ministers, there remains significant untapped potential for expanding partnership through practical initiatives and joint projects.
The discussion covered key areas of bilateral engagement, including political dialogue, economic cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchange. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in trade and investment, manufacturing industry, transport and logistics, digital development and tourism - sectors viewed as strategic drivers of long-term partnership.
Special attention was paid to the importance of closer interaction between business communities, as well as to the prospects for increasing mutual tourist flows. The ministers highlighted that deeper connectivity and favorable conditions for business could give a tangible boost to economic ties between Kazakhstan and Thailand.
Beyond bilateral issues, the two ministers exchanged views on pressing regional and international developments. They noted the importance of continued dialogue and coordination on global issues, stressing the value of regular diplomatic contacts in addressing shared challenges.
Following the conversation, both sides agreed to maintain close working-level communication to ensure further coordination of positions on matters of mutual interest and to support the continued strengthening of Kazakhstan-Thailand relations.
