The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary, Abzal Saparbekuly, held a series of traditional working meetings with leaders of the Kazakh diaspora living in Budapest, DKNews.kz reports.
The meetings took place as part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with compatriots abroad and support cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Preserving Language, History, and Cultural Heritage
During discussions with András Gál, President of the Kazakh-Hungarian Foundation “Bars”, Ongaysha Mandoki, head of the Kazakh diaspora, and Zhanargul Fenyvesi, head of the Hungarian-Kazakh Association of Ethnosport and Culture, key issues related to the preservation and promotion of the Kazakh language, history, and cultural heritage were addressed.
Special attention was given to strengthening the diaspora’s connection with its historical homeland and expanding practical cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan.

Results of 2025 and Plans for the Future
As part of the meetings, the parties reviewed the results of cultural and public events organized by the Kazakh diaspora in 2025. These initiatives received a positive assessment for their contribution to the development of humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Hungary.
At the same time, discussions focused on future joint projects and plans for 2026, including the organization of cultural and educational events aimed at:
- promoting Kazakh culture and traditions,
- popularizing national sports,
- engaging young people,
- and attracting wider interest from the Hungarian public.
Diaspora as a Bridge Between Nations
The meetings were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, highlighting the high level of mutual understanding and the strong, lasting ties between Kazakhstan and its compatriots abroad.
Observers note that the active role of the Kazakh diaspora in Hungary continues to serve as an important humanitarian and cultural bridge between the two countries.
