Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev held a meeting with Naguib Sawiris, Chairman of Orascom Investment Holding, to discuss prospects for expanding investment cooperation and launching new joint projects in Kazakhstan, DKNews.kz reports.
During the talks, the sides focused on priority areas of collaboration, including the mining and metallurgical industries, the financial sector, tourism, and development projects. Particular attention was paid to Kazakhstan’s efforts to integrate into global value chains and attract strategic private investors with strong international expertise.
Kazakhstan Positions Itself as a Predictable Investment Destination
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Kazakhstan remains an open and predictable destination for long-term investments, highlighting the country’s consistent approach to improving the investment climate. According to Kosherbayev, building a trust-based and systematic dialogue with investors is a key element of Kazakhstan’s investment policy.
He also underlined that the government provides comprehensive support at all stages of project implementation, from initial discussions to full-scale realization, ensuring stability and transparency for international partners.
Orascom Sees Kazakhstan as a Regional Investment Hub
Naguib Sawiris praised Kazakhstan’s macroeconomic stability, its significant resource potential, and its growing role as a regional investment hub in Central Asia. He stressed the importance of direct engagement with decision-makers, noting that such dialogue creates favorable conditions for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Sawiris expressed interest in further exploring investment projects in Kazakhstan and expanding cooperation with local partners across multiple sectors.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on prospective projects, including potential investments in the financial sector. Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation into new areas, reflecting a shared commitment to deepening economic ties.
