Kazakhstan and Armenia are moving toward a more practical and results-oriented stage of cooperation. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev held talks in Yerevan with Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and Co-Chair of the Kazakhstan-Armenia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Mher Grigoryan, DKNews.kz reports.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the dynamic development of bilateral relations, which continue to grow in a spirit of trust, mutual respect, and pragmatism. Particular attention was paid to the fact that in 2025 Kazakhstan and Armenia elevated their relationship to the level of strategic partnership - a step that, according to the interlocutors, opened new opportunities for deeper cooperation both at the bilateral level and within international organizations.

A key focus of the talks was the implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Kazakhstan. The sides discussed concrete next steps and practical measures aimed at turning political agreements into real economic outcomes. In this context, they exchanged views on the progress made in implementing the decisions adopted at the 11th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Armenia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Looking ahead, the parties reviewed the main priorities of the bilateral agenda for the current year. Among the key goals identified were further growth in mutual trade, increased investment activity, and the expansion of industrial and technological cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on advancing joint projects in agriculture and the digital economy, with a clear focus on achieving tangible, measurable results rather than formal declarations.
The role of the joint intergovernmental commission was highlighted as particularly important. According to the participants, it remains a key platform for coordinating practical cooperation and developing effective solutions to issues of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in intensifying joint efforts aimed at the consistent development of friendly ties between Kazakhstan and Armenia, as well as in strengthening the economic foundation of their strategic partnership.
