Kazakhstan and France Explore New Opportunities for Cultural Cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to France Gulsara Arystankulova held a meeting with Eva Nguyen Binh, President of the Institut français, to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in culture and the arts, DKNews.kz reports.

During the meeting, the sides focused on strengthening cultural dialogue between Kazakhstan and France, highlighting opportunities for closer interaction in creative, artistic, and humanitarian fields. The discussion covered potential joint initiatives aimed at promoting cultural exchange and deepening mutual understanding between the two countries.

Culture as a Bridge Between Nations

Both sides noted the strong potential for cultural cooperation, emphasizing that cultural diplomacy plays an important role in reinforcing bilateral relations. Ambassador Arystankulova and Eva Nguyen Binh expressed a shared interest in developing cooperation along priority areas, including exhibitions, cultural projects, and exchanges between creative communities.

Special attention was also given to the role of the Institut français as a key platform for international cultural engagement and dialogue.

About the Institut français

The Institut français is a state institution jointly overseen by France’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture. It is responsible for promoting the French language and culture abroad, as well as for developing international cultural cooperation with partner countries around the world.

Experts note that meetings at this level contribute to expanding Kazakhstan’s cultural presence in Europe and open new avenues for presenting Kazakh art, heritage, and contemporary culture to a wider international audience.
