Geely is marking three years of operations in the Kazakhstan market, a period that has seen the brand evolve from a new entrant into one of the country’s most recognisable automotive players. In a relatively short time, Geely has managed to significantly increase sales, expand its dealer network and earn the trust of Kazakhstani customers, DKNews.kz reports.
The official distributor of Geely in Kazakhstan is G Motors Kazakhstan, a company within the Orbis Auto automotive group. The brand entered the local market in October 2022 and has since demonstrated steady and consistent growth.
More Than 21,000 Cars Sold in Three Years
Geely’s progress in Kazakhstan is best illustrated by the numbers. Since entering the market, the brand has sold 21,516 vehicles nationwide.
Sales have shown strong year-on-year growth:
- 3,643 vehicles sold in 2023
- 8,252 vehicles sold in 2024 (+126% year on year)
- 9,621 vehicles sold in 2025 (+16.6% compared to 2024)
Overall, sales more than doubled compared to 2023. By the end of 2025, Geely ranked among the top ten most popular car brands in Kazakhstan, taking 10th place overall with a 4.1% market share, according to data from the Kazakhstan Automobile Union.
Five Models in the Most Popular Market Segments
Today, Geely is represented in Kazakhstan by five models, all competing in the country’s most in-demand vehicle segments:
- Emgrand
- Coolray
- Atlas
- Okavango
- Monjaro
The expansion of the model lineup has gone hand in hand with the development of sales channels and service infrastructure, making the brand more accessible to customers across the country.
In 2025, the brand’s best-selling models were:
- Geely Emgrand - 3,398 units sold
- Geely Coolray - 3,259 units
- Geely Atlas - 1,597 units
The Geely Emgrand, a C-class sedan, has retained its position as the sales leader for the second consecutive year, reflecting sustained demand among Kazakhstani drivers.
17 Cities and 23 Dealer Centres Nationwide
Geely continues to actively expand its presence across Kazakhstan. The brand is currently represented in 17 cities, with a total of 23 dealer centres operating nationwide.
In 2025 alone, the dealer network expanded into four new locations:
- Petropavl
- Kokshetau
- Shymkent
- Oral
Throughout the year, the company focused on improving service availability and ensuring consistent customer experience across all regions.
Seven-Year Warranty and Long-Term Ownership Focus
Geely customers in Kazakhstan benefit from programmes designed to support long-term ownership and confidence in their choice. These include:
- a seven-year warranty
- trade-in programmes
- financial solutions that simplify vehicle purchase and servicing
According to Regina Amerkhanova, Director of G Motors Kazakhstan, long-term customer relationships remain a key priority for the brand.
“Three years in the Kazakhstan market have been a period of sustainable growth for Geely and clear confirmation of customer trust. Today, Geely is not only about popular models and rising sales figures, but also about a well-developed dealer network, a high level of service and long-term commitments to our customers. We see strong market potential and will continue to invest in expanding the brand’s presence, introducing modern technologies and enhancing the overall customer experience,” she said.
Next Step: Local Production
The next major milestone in Geely’s development in Kazakhstan is the launch of local production, scheduled for 2027. This project is viewed as a strategic priority for the company in the country.
Localisation is expected to optimise logistics chains and offer customers more flexible and attractive purchasing conditions. It also underlines Geely’s long-term commitment to the Kazakhstan market and its ambition to make modern automotive technologies more accessible to local consumers.

Anniversary Campaign and Customer Rewards
To mark its three-year anniversary in Kazakhstan, Geely also launched a special customer campaign. As part of the initiative, the company raffled off a Geely Coolray vehicle and a range of valuable prizes.
The grand prize was drawn among customers who purchased any Geely vehicle from official dealers between 1 November and 31 December 2025, with all purchases during this period automatically qualifying for the draw. Additional prizes were raffled among participants of test drives held between 3 and 31 December 2025. Rewards included iPhones, Apple Watches and a trip to Hainan Island (Sanya, China).

Following the draw held on 16 January 2026, the grand prize was awarded to Damir Rustemovich Gibadullin from Karaganda, a Geely Emgrand owner.
In just three years, Geely has built a strong foundation in Kazakhstan, combining growing sales, an expanding service network and clear long-term plans. With local production on the horizon, the brand’s story in the country is far from over - and its next chapter is already taking shape.
