The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mongolia, Almas Seitakynov, paid a working visit to Nalaikh District, where he met with District Governor D.Nayanbayar. The meeting focused on expanding practical cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia at the regional level, with an emphasis on economic growth and people-to-people ties, DKNews.kz reports.

The visit reflects growing interest in developing regional partnerships that complement bilateral relations between the two countries and create new opportunities for business, investment and cultural exchange.

Trade, investment and agriculture in focus

During the talks, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen trade and economic links and to enhance investment cooperation. Particular attention was given to identifying concrete areas where joint projects could be launched, especially in agriculture, a sector seen as strategically important for both Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

The participants noted that closer cooperation in agriculture could contribute to sustainable development, technology exchange and increased market access, benefiting producers and businesses in both countries.

Tourism, culture and shared traditions

Beyond economics, the meeting placed strong emphasis on cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The parties explored opportunities to expand collaboration in tourism and culture, viewing these areas as effective tools for bringing societies closer together.

Special importance was attached to hosting joint events, including the celebration of Nauryz. The spring festival was highlighted as a symbol of shared traditions and cultural affinity, capable of strengthening mutual understanding and people-to-people connections.

City partnerships and next steps

The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for developing inter-city partnerships, which are seen as a practical mechanism for deepening cooperation at the local level. Such partnerships could open the door to regular exchanges, joint initiatives and experience sharing between municipalities.

Following the talks, Ambassador Almas Seitakynov and District Governor D.Nayanbayar agreed to remain in close contact and to continue working towards mutually beneficial and long-term cooperation, translating dialogue into tangible results.
