Kazakhstan and Mongolia strengthen cultural and youth cooperation: what was discussed in Ulaanbaatar

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mongolia, Almas Seitakynov, held a meeting with Mongolia’s Vice Minister for Culture, Sport, Tourism and Youth, Dashnyam Ganzorig. During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat congratulated his counterpart on the appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in his new role, DKNews.kz reports.

The talks became an important step in further developing Kazakhstan-Mongolia cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, which both sides view as a key pillar of bilateral relations.

Culture, sport and tourism as bridges between societies

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, focusing on the development of cultural ties, collaboration in sport and the expansion of tourism exchanges. These areas were highlighted as effective tools for bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together and strengthening mutual interest.

According to the participants, joint cultural projects, sporting initiatives and tourism programs can give new momentum to bilateral relations and help promote deeper people-to-people connections.

Youth policy and direct regional contacts

Ambassador Almas Seitakynov underlined the importance of strengthening engagement between relevant government bodies, cultural institutions and sporting organizations in both Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Special attention was paid to the need to expand direct contacts between regions and youth associations.

The Ambassador noted that cooperation in youth policy and joint initiatives aimed at young people play a crucial role in building a sustainable foundation for long-term partnership between the two countries.

Shared interest and future initiatives

For his part, Vice Minister Dashnyam Ganzorig reaffirmed Mongolia’s strong interest in further deepening the partnership with Kazakhstan. He expressed support for holding joint events aimed at fostering mutual understanding of the cultures and traditions of both nations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation. They also agreed to maintain regular working contacts and to step up collaboration in priority areas, particularly in culture, sport, tourism and youth policy.
