Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Türkiye Yerkebulan Sapiyev held a meeting in Istanbul with the leadership of Türkiye’s leading media organizations. Representatives of Demirören News Agency and CNN Türk, İhlas News Agency, Kanal 7, Ülke TV, as well as the Albayrak Media Group took part in the discussions, DKNews.kz reports.

The meeting focused on expanding information cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye and on elevating media engagement between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
Media dialogue as part of strategic partnership
During the talks, the parties discussed practical ways to enhance cooperation in the media sphere, including closer interaction between journalists and broader information exchange. It was noted that reliable and balanced media coverage plays a growing role in shaping public understanding at a time of rapid political and economic change.
Strengthening media ties was described as an important element of the broader strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Türkiye.

Key reforms and national priorities in focus
Special attention was paid to the priorities outlined in the address of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the 5th National Kurultai. The discussions covered the modernization of Kazakhstan’s political system, reforms of government institutions and the protection of national interests.
The parties also discussed the development of digitalization and artificial intelligence, which are seen as key drivers of long-term economic growth and state governance reform.

Role of Turkish media
The participants highly appreciated the role of Turkish media in disseminating objective and comprehensive information about the political and socio-economic reforms underway in Kazakhstan. They expressed confidence that the information bridge between the two countries will continue to strengthen.
Such cooperation, they noted, helps ensure that reforms and initiatives are presented accurately to international audiences.

Promoting Kazakhstan’s international agenda
The meeting also addressed mechanisms for more broadly informing the Turkish public about Kazakhstan’s international initiatives and foreign policy priorities. Expanding media coverage in this area was seen as a way to enhance mutual understanding and awareness of Kazakhstan’s role in regional and global affairs.

Economy, investment and media impact
Consul General of Kazakhstan in Istanbul Nuriddin Amankul highlighted the dynamic growth of cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic and investment spheres. He emphasized that mass media plays an important role in supporting this process by fostering transparency and trust.

Confidence in deeper cooperation
Following the discussions, the parties expressed readiness to further deepen information and humanitarian ties aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan–Türkiye strategic partnership. It was emphasized that the meeting would contribute to the development of friendly relations and to objective coverage of key regional and global issues.
