Travel across the Caspian is getting easier. Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier FlyArystan has opened ticket sales for direct flights on the Aktau – Baku – Aktau route for the 2026 summer navigation season, giving passengers a simple, nonstop option between two vibrant coastal cities, DKNews.kz reports.
Flights will operate from 1 April to 23 October 2026, with a frequency of twice a week – Wednesdays and Fridays. Departures in the morning and daytime make the schedule especially convenient, allowing travelers to plan short city breaks, business trips, or longer holidays without overnight flights.
A route that proved its demand
The seasonal Aktau–Baku service is not new to FlyArystan’s network. The airline first launched the route on 1 February 2022, and it has since become a popular choice thanks to steady demand from both leisure and business travelers. The direct connection cuts out transfers and significantly reduces travel time across the Caspian Sea.
Baku’s mix of modern architecture, historic quarters and seaside atmosphere continues to attract visitors from western Kazakhstan, while Aktau remains a key gateway for Azerbaijani travelers exploring the Mangystau region.
Expanding international options from Aktau
FlyArystan is also strengthening Aktau’s international connectivity. The low-cost carrier continues to operate weekly flights from Aktau to Dubai on Saturdays. During the peak travel period from 10 March to 24 October 2026, the frequency on this route will increase to twice a week, offering greater flexibility for tourists and transit passengers alike.
Regional travel on the rise
Since the beginning of the year, FlyArystan has also resumed international flights from Almaty to Samarkand and Issyk-Kul, reflecting growing demand for affordable regional travel across Central Asia and neighboring destinations.
How to book
Tickets for Aktau – Baku – Aktau, as well as other international and domestic routes, are available:

With its return to the summer schedule, the direct Aktau–Baku route once again positions FlyArystan as a key player in making cross-Caspian travel more accessible, affordable and time-efficient for passengers in the region.
