For travelers planning a summer escape to Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, there is welcome news. Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier FlyArystan is resuming direct flights from Astana to Gazipasa (Alanya) and launching regular direct services from Almaty, making one of the region’s most popular resort areas easier to reach, DKNews.kz reports.
The renewed route reflects steady demand for Turkey among Kazakhstani travelers and the growing popularity of eastern Antalya resorts, known for their beaches, mild climate, and more relaxed pace of life.
Flight schedule for the 2026 season
Direct flights on the Astana - Gazipasa (Alanya) route will operate from 11 May to 22 October 2026, with departures scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays.
Flights from Almaty to Gazipasa (Alanya) will run from 13 May to 24 October 2026, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The schedule covers the entire high travel season, from late spring through mid-autumn, when Turkey remains especially attractive for seaside holidays.
Why Gazipasa is gaining popularity
Gazipasa (Alanya) is a resort city in Turkey’s Antalya Province that combines proximity to well-known Mediterranean resorts with a calmer, less crowded atmosphere. This balance makes the destination particularly appealing to travelers looking for a comfortable and unhurried holiday.
Gazipasa (Alanya) Airport significantly reduces transfer times to resorts such as Alanya, Mahmutlar, Kestel, Oba, Avsallar, and Konakli. It is also a convenient entry point for trips to Side and Belek, offering flexible and efficient travel logistics.
Another advantage is the airport’s compact infrastructure and lower congestion compared to Antalya Airport. Passengers can pass through pre-flight procedures more quickly, shortening overall travel time and allowing more time to enjoy their vacation.
Decision driven by demand
FlyArystan notes that the expansion of flights to Gazipasa is based on clear passenger interest and stable traffic between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
“We are consistently expanding FlyArystan’s international route network, focusing on high-demand destinations and the needs of our passengers. The seasonal charter flight from Astana to Gazipasa (Alanya) was first launched in May last year. Strong passenger traffic between Kazakhstan and Turkey, along with steady demand for this destination, formed the basis for resuming flights from Astana and launching this route from Almaty,” said Richard Ledger, President of FlyArystan JSC.
How to buy tickets
Tickets for these routes are sold in cooperation with a tour operator, as well as through FlyArystan’s own sales channels - the FlyArystan mobile app and the official website.
With direct flights returning and new departures added from Almaty, FlyArystan is making Turkey’s Mediterranean coast more accessible than ever. Less time on the road, more time by the sea - this is exactly what makes Gazipasa an increasingly popular choice for summer travel.
