Kazakhstan and Portugal have confirmed their shared interest in deepening bilateral ties, as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Issetov received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic José Ataíde Amaral, DKNews.kz reports.
The meeting marked the formal start of the Portuguese diplomat’s mission in Kazakhstan and set the tone for future engagement between the two countries.
Warm welcome and expectations
During the talks, Arman Issetov warmly welcomed the Ambassador and expressed confidence that his appointment would give fresh momentum to Kazakh-Portuguese relations.
According to the Kazakh side, the arrival of a new ambassador creates an opportunity to reassess priorities and identify new areas for practical cooperation, both at the governmental and expert levels.
Broad agenda for cooperation
