Ukraine has entered a new phase of diplomatic efforts aimed at building a sustainable system of security guarantees. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the key documents are ready, stressing that today security has no alternative, DKNews.kz reports.

According to the head of state, this is not about political declarations, but about concrete mechanisms designed to ensure the country’s long-term stability and protection.

“The documents on security guarantees are ready. There is no alternative to security. There is no alternative to peace. There is no alternative to the restoration of our state,” Zelensky said.

Daily work without pauses

The president emphasized that negotiations are continuing every day, without interruption. Ukraine’s negotiating team is consistently working with partners on texts and proposals that can deliver tangible results in the near future.

Each provision in the documents, he noted, is being carefully calibrated with real political and legal consequences in mind — not symbolic statements.

The negotiating team, Zelensky said, is focused on initiatives that “can deliver results at the next meetings.”

A week of key international events

Zelensky also highlighted the importance of the period from February 9 to 15, when several major international events are scheduled. Ukraine’s position, he said, will be presented in full at these forums.

It is expected that security guarantees will be among the central topics, with the prepared documents becoming the basis for substantive discussions with allies and partners.

Why this matters

Zelensky’s statement comes amid intensified diplomatic activity around the future security architecture in Europe. For Ukraine, security guarantees are not only about preventing renewed military threats, but also about creating the foundation for rebuilding the state, restoring the economy, and regaining investor confidence.

The formula outlined by the president is clear and uncompromising: security is a prerequisite for peace, and peace is a prerequisite for recovery.

That is why Kyiv is focusing not on temporary arrangements, but on systemic and clearly defined commitments that are meant to become part of the post-war reality.

With the documents now ready, Ukraine is moving from words to action — and the coming weeks could prove decisive for the next stage of the diplomatic process.
