Tokayev Receives Credentials from Greek and Portuguese Ambassadors in Akorda

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received letters of credence from Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic Antonia Katzourou and Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic José de Castro Ataíde Amaral during an official ceremony at the Akorda, DKNews.kz reports.

The presentation of credentials formally marks the beginning of the ambassadors’ diplomatic missions in Kazakhstan and reflects the continued development of relations with both European states.

Peaceful foreign policy reaffirmed

In his welcoming remarks, President Tokayev underlined that Kazakhstan consistently pursues an exclusively peaceful foreign policy.

According to the Head of State, all issues facing the modern world must be resolved solely through peaceful means, using diplomatic channels and instruments.

The statement once again highlighted Astana’s emphasis on dialogue, negotiation, and constructive engagement in international affairs.

Invitation for high-level visits

President Tokayev also conveyed his greetings to the heads of state and government of Greece and Portugal and invited them to visit Astana.

Such invitations signal Kazakhstan’s interest in maintaining active political dialogue and strengthening cooperation at the highest level.

Support for diplomatic missions

Concluding the ceremony, the President congratulated the ambassadors on the official commencement of their missions in Kazakhstan and confirmed the readiness of the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide comprehensive support in their work.

The ceremony set a constructive tone for further intergovernmental dialogue and cooperation between Kazakhstan, Greece, and Portugal.
