President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with U.S. Ambassador Julie Stufft in Astana, reaffirming that dialogue between Kazakhstan and the United States continues to expand beyond protocol and now covers key areas of bilateral cooperation, DKNews.kz reports.

Cooperation on the Rise

The Head of State expressed satisfaction with the strong momentum of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States across a wide range of bilateral issues. The discussion focused not only on political dialogue, but also on trade, investment, regional security and global stability.

President Tokayev emphasized the importance of further strengthening trade, economic and investment ties, as well as ensuring the effective implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. The message was clear - the partnership is moving from declarations to practical results.

Ambassador Julie Stufft conveyed words of gratitude and best wishes from President Donald Trump, underscoring the United States’ commitment to the comprehensive development of an expanded strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.

The U.S. side positively assessed the political reforms underway in Kazakhstan. Ambassador Stufft expressed support for the country’s institutional transformation and wished success in holding the nationwide referendum on the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Council of Peace as a New Platform

The meeting also addressed prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Council of Peace. President Tokayev noted that the body is intended to become an effective platform for strengthening stability, promoting peace and advancing international dialogue.
