Kazakhstan is strengthening security measures amid escalating tensions around Iran

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed Security Council Secretary Gizat Nurdauletov, together with the heads of law enforcement agencies and профиль ministries, to present an emergency action plan, DKNews.kz reports.

The document must take into account the developments surrounding Iran and potential risks to stability in the country.

Kazakhstan places security agencies on heightened alert

By order of the Head of State, all law enforcement and security structures have already been switched to round-the-clock operations.

Key tasks include:

  • continuous monitoring of the situation
  • coordination of actions between agencies
  • rapid response to potential threats

A special monitoring group established in the Government

A special group has begun work within the Government under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It will focus on:

  • analyzing developments in the region
  • assessing potential risks
  • preparing response proposals

Regions instructed to prepare additional measures

Regional akims have been instructed to take into account the evolving situation in the Middle East when planning their work.

In particular, this includes:

  • ensuring public safety
  • strengthening risk monitoring
  • maintaining readiness for оператив actions

Situation under constant control

Authorities emphasize that the measures being taken are preventive in nature and aimed at ensuring stability and security in the country.

Monitoring and coordination efforts will continue on a 24/7 basis.
