President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the escalating situation in the Middle East, DKNews.kz reports.
During the call, the Kazakh leader expressed concern over recent developments and conveyed support and solidarity to the leadership and people of the UAE.
Condemnation of attacks on civilian infrastructure
Tokayev noted with regret that civilian infrastructure had been damaged during a military attack on the UAE and stressed the importance of protecting non-military facilities.
“Kazakhstan regards the United Arab Emirates as a friendly and brotherly nation and stands ready to provide assistance, should the need arise,” he said.
The President emphasized that attacks on civilian sites in the UAE and other Gulf countries deserve strong international condemnation.
UAE expresses gratitude for Kazakhstan’s support
In response, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked Kazakhstan for its solidarity and expressed appreciation for the country’s readiness to assist in addressing the ongoing crisis.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, which they described as based on friendship and strategic partnership.
Message of unity during Ramadan
The conversation also included mutual wishes of peace, well-being, and prosperity to the peoples of both countries on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Analysts say such high-level contacts highlight Kazakhstan’s active diplomatic engagement and its efforts to maintain close relations with key partners in the Gulf region during periods of international instability.
