Tokayev welcomes the statement of the President of Iran on de-escalation of the conflict

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has welcomed the statement by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announcing the decision of the Temporary Governing Council to abandon attacks on neighboring countries, DKNews.kz reports.

According to the Kazakh leader, this step represents an important signal toward easing tensions in the Middle East.

Step toward regional de-escalation

Tokayev emphasized that the decision could contribute to stabilizing the security situation in the region, which has faced rising tensions in recent weeks.

The President noted that:

  • reducing military escalation is essential for regional stability
  • dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective tools for resolving conflicts
  • responsible political decisions can prevent further deterioration of the situation
