Egypt continues to remain safe for tourists

Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelaty, DKNews.kz reports.

The discussion focused on the current situation in the Middle East and the importance of diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region.

Emphasis on diplomacy and de-escalation

During the conversation, both ministers stressed that disputes should be resolved exclusively through political dialogue and diplomatic mechanisms in accordance with international law.

The sides highlighted the need to:

  • prevent further escalation in the region
  • promote peaceful dialogue between parties
  • strengthen international cooperation for stability
  • support diplomatic solutions to ongoing conflicts

Officials noted that constructive dialogue remains essential for maintaining regional security.

Expanding bilateral cooperation

In addition to regional issues, the ministers reviewed the current state of Kazakhstan–Egypt relations and discussed opportunities for further cooperation.

The sides expressed interest in expanding interaction in several areas:

  • trade and economic partnerships
  • investment cooperation
  • cultural exchanges
  • humanitarian initiatives

Both ministers confirmed their commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries.

Egypt highlights tourism safety

During the call, Abdelaty reaffirmed that Egypt remains a safe destination for international visitors.

He emphasized that Egyptian authorities are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and comfort of tourists.

Plans for continued dialogue

The ministers agreed to intensify exchanges of visits at the highest and high levels and maintain regular dialogue between their foreign ministries.

Experts say such diplomatic contacts demonstrate Kazakhstan’s active engagement in international discussions on regional stability while simultaneously strengthening bilateral partnerships.
