Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev held a telephone conversation with Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar to discuss the current situation in the Middle East and issues of bilateral cooperation, DKNews.kz reports.

The discussion focused on regional developments and the safety of Kazakh citizens currently in Israel.

Evacuation of Kazakh citizens raised as priority

During the call, Kosherbayev asked his Israeli counterpart to assist in facilitating the evacuation of Kazakh citizens from Israel.

The minister emphasized that ensuring the safety and return of citizens remains one of Kazakhstan’s top priorities under the current circumstances.

Key issues discussed during the conversation included:

  • the evolving security situation in the Middle East
  • coordination on the evacuation of Kazakh citizens
  • maintaining diplomatic cooperation between the two countries
  • continued dialogue between the foreign ministries

Officials noted that close communication between governments is essential in managing such situations.

Israel pledges support

In response, Gideon Sa’ar assured that the Israeli side would make every effort to help resolve the issue of evacuating Kazakh citizens.

He confirmed that the matter would remain under his personal supervision.

Analysts say such diplomatic coordination is critical during periods of regional instability, allowing countries to protect their citizens abroad and maintain effective communication channels.

The conversation also reaffirmed the importance of ongoing dialogue between Kazakhstan and Israel on both bilateral and regional issues.
