Kazakhstan’s low-cost airline FlyArystan has announced a special promotion for travelers planning spring trips to one of Central Asia’s most historic cities.
The carrier is offering discounted tickets on the Almaty – Samarkand – Almaty international route, giving passengers a chance to visit the ancient Uzbek city at a lower cost, DKNews.kz reports.
The promotion began at 1:00 PM on March 11 and will run until 11:59 PM on March 17, 2026. During this limited window, travelers can purchase tickets for flights scheduled between March 17 and May 31, 2026.
However, the discounted fares will not apply to the holiday period from March 21 to March 24, when travel demand traditionally rises across the region.
How much do the tickets cost?
According to the airline, the starting price for tickets under the promotion is:
- From 31,030 tenge for flights from Almaty to Samarkand
- From 33,436 tenge for flights from Samarkand to Almaty
These prices apply to FlyArystan’s standard fare, which does not include checked baggage.
What is included in the basic fare?
Passengers traveling on the standard fare still receive the airline’s essential onboard services. The ticket includes:
- One piece of hand baggage up to 7 kg
- Maximum baggage size 56 × 23 × 36 cm
- A randomly assigned seat on board
Additional services — such as checked baggage, priority boarding, or choosing a specific seat — can be purchased separately if needed.
Where to buy the tickets
Travelers can purchase the discounted tickets through several channels:
- The FlyArystan mobile app
- The airline’s official website flyarystan.com
- The Freedom Travel platform
The airline notes that the number of tickets available at the promotional price is limited, meaning the lowest fares may sell out quickly.
Why Samarkand is a popular spring destination
Samarkand is widely considered one of the most remarkable historical cities in Central Asia. Once a key hub along the ancient Silk Road, the city is known for its turquoise domes, grand madrasahs, and centuries-old architecture.
Spring is also one of the best seasons to visit. Temperatures are mild, gardens begin to bloom, and the city’s famous landmarks — including Registan Square — are especially attractive for travelers and photographers.
With the new FlyArystan promotion, a short trip from Almaty to this legendary Silk Road destination may now be more accessible for many travelers across the region.
Prices may vary slightly depending on fluctuations in currency exchange rates.
