Kazakhstan and Qatar have reaffirmed their intention to deepen strategic ties during high-level talks held in Doha, DKNews.kz reports.
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev met with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani as part of an official visit to the Gulf state.
Strategic partnership in focus
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-Qatari relations.
Special emphasis was placed on:

Qatar confirms readiness for deeper ties
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani praised the steady development of bilateral relations and reaffirmed Doha’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.
According to the Qatari side, both countries are interested in advancing joint initiatives across key sectors.
Culture and tourism gaining momentum
The ministers also discussed humanitarian and people-to-people cooperation.
They welcomed the successful Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Qatar, held in February this year, describing the event as an important contribution to mutual understanding.
The sides also noted rising tourist flows and emphasized the importance of expanding direct air links between the two countries.

Views exchanged on Middle East situation
An in-depth exchange of views took place on pressing international and regional issues, particularly developments in the Middle East.
Minister Kosherbayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s position that conflicts should be resolved only through political and diplomatic means in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
He also welcomed Qatar’s mediation efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region.
Kazakhstan additionally expressed readiness to provide a platform for peace negotiations in Turkestan.
Coordination in international organizations
The parties underlined the importance of continued cooperation within multilateral institutions, including:
