For travelers in western Kazakhstan, getting to the Black Sea just became much easier.
FlyArystan has officially launched its first direct international service between Atyrau and Batumi, opening a new gateway to one of Georgia's most popular seaside destinations, DKNews.kz reports.
The new route expands the airline's growing international network and gives residents of Atyrau and neighboring regions a faster way to reach the Adriatic-style streets, beaches and mountain scenery of Batumi without connections.
The inaugural FS7229 flight marked the occasion with a traditional water cannon salute upon arrival at Batumi International Airport — a ceremonial welcome reserved for milestone flights.
A direct route to one of Kazakhstan's favorite summer destinations
The new service will operate once a week on Tuesdays until August 25, 2026.
The schedule is designed for a quick and convenient journey:
Departure from Atyrau: 10:40
Arrival in Batumi: 12:00 (local time)
Return from Batumi: 13:00
Arrival in Atyrau: 16:15
The total flight time is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, making Batumi one of the easiest international beach destinations to reach from western Kazakhstan.
Why Batumi remains a top choice
Batumi has become one of the most sought-after summer destinations for travelers from Kazakhstan. The city combines Black Sea beaches, a lively waterfront, modern hotels, historic architecture and easy access to the mountains of Adjara.
Another major advantage is the visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and Georgia, allowing travelers to plan spontaneous vacations without the hassle of obtaining a visa.
With the new direct connection, FlyArystan is making the resort more accessible not only for residents of Atyrau but also for passengers from other cities across western Kazakhstan.
Tickets already on sale
Tickets for the Atyrau–Batumi route are available through the FlyArystan mobile app, on the airline's official website and via other authorized sales channels.
