First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Ashikbayev received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to Kazakhstan Antonia Katzourou.
The two sides also discussed trade, investment, transport, humanitarian cooperation and the schedule of bilateral events planned through the end of the year.
CPC at the center of energy talks
Ashikbayev paid particular attention to energy cooperation between Kazakhstan and Greece.
The parties exchanged views on the situation surrounding the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, or CPC. The route is strategically important for Kazakhstan because it provides a major channel for exporting the country's oil to European markets.
During the talks, Kazakhstan and Greece highlighted several priorities:
